Learn How to Use Keeper Password Manager

March 1, 2025

Despite their usability and security issues, passwords continue to be a prevalent method of authentication. Many people find it challenging to remember complex, random passwords, which often results in them opting for easily guessable ones. This habit also leads to the reuse of passwords across different accounts.

Password managers create, store, and manage passwords securely. They generate strong, unique passwords, ensuring they are difficult to guess or crack. These strong passwords are then stored in an encrypted vault that can be accessed with a single master password.

STACK Cybersecurity leverages Keeper Security for internal and client password management. Keeper generates high-strength, random passwords and enables secure sharing among users and teams. Create shared team folders and restrict whether users can add, remove, modify or share records.

Use the training content on this page to learn how to create and use your Keeper password manager account.

How to Create a Keeper Password Manager Account

To create your Keeper account, visit Keeper Security and hover your cursor over the “Login” dropdown. Select Web Vault > click Create an Account. Enter your email address and click Next.

You will be prompted to set and confirm a master password. Don’t forget your master password! Since this password will unlock all of your other passwords in your Keeper Vault, it's critical to set a strong master password using upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

Keeper requires your master password to contain a minimum of twelve characters. To continue, check the box confirming you accept Keeper’s Terms of Use and click Next.

A verification link and code will be sent to your email address, confirming that you are the owner of the email address you are using to create your Keeper account.

Now, navigate to your email provider and locate the email from Keeper with the subject line: “Action Required Create Your Keeper Account.” Open the email and click Create Account. Alternatively, you can enter the verification code from the email in the field provided on the previous Keeper screen. Next, you will be taken to an account creation success page. Click Vault Login. Your Keeper account is now active and ready for use.

Your passwords, logins, and other personal information are saved here in your private, encrypted, digital vault as “records.” It is here where you can view and manage all of your website login credentials and details, as well as store important files and photos.
