Our Commitment to Security
At STACK Cybersecurity, we are proud to be SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. This certification demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. We are also in the process of obtaining Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), which will further enhance our security posture and compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements.
Vendor Responsibilities
To maintain a secure and efficient ecosystem, we expect our vendors to adhere to the following responsibilities:
- Provide Accurate Information: Ensure that all information provided in the vendor information form is accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain Security Standards: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with industry standards.
- Prompt Communication: Respond promptly to any requests for additional information or clarification from our team.
- Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to data protection and cybersecurity.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update security practices to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
Examples of Security Measures
To help our vendors meet these responsibilities, here are some examples of security measures they should implement:
1. Data Encryption: Use strong encryption methods to protect sensitive data both in transit and at rest.
2. Access Controls: Implement strict access controls to ensure that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive information.
3. Regular Security Audits: Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential weaknesses.
4. Employee Training: Provide ongoing cybersecurity training for employees to ensure they are aware of the latest threats and best practices.
5. Incident Response Plan: Develop and maintain an incident response plan to quickly and effectively respond to security breaches.
6. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Use MFA to add an extra layer of security to user accounts and systems.
7. Patch Management: Regularly update and patch software and systems to protect against known vulnerabilities.
Why We Need This Information
To achieve and maintain these high standards, we need our vendors to provide detailed information about their security practices. This helps us ensure that our entire supply chain is secure and compliant with industry standards. Additionally, our clients rely on us to ensure both upstream and downstream vendors are secure, which is crucial for their cybersecurity compliance and ours.
